Juventus managed to advance to the Coppa Italia semifinals thanks to the victory they won over SPAL in the last eight. In the semifinals, the Bianconneri will face their eternal rival, Inter Milan.
The match itself took place at Allianz Stadium on Thursday morning WIB (28/01). Juventus, who acted as the host, were able to win without any significant obstacles with a score of 4-0.
The four goals that were created in this match were each scored by Alvaro Morata, Gianluca Frabotta, Dejan Kulusevski and the last one from Federico Chiesa.
The victory automatically led Juventus to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia. In that round, they will certainly face their eternal rival, Inter Milan, who previously managed to get rid of AC Milan in the quarter-finals.
Obviously the duel reminded Bianconneri fans of the bitter memories of the previous match, where Cristiano Ronaldo et al lost by a landslide score of 0-2.
Naturally, if Juventus then doubted it could advance to the final, especially in the match against AC Milan yesterday, the performance of Antonio Conte’s team looked promising.
Well, responding to this, coach Andrea Pirlo is not at all anxious, he is instead happy to meet his former club.
“We will meet again. We are happy, because our target is to win the Coppa Italia, so we will get ready for next week,” Pirlo told RAI Sport after the match.
As for the match against SPAL yesterday, coach Andrea Pirlo made a major rotation of his squad. The players who usually appear not even seen on the bench, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
The young players who were in Team B were given the opportunity to show off such as Radu Dragusin and Nicolo Fagioli.
“Juventus are the first and only club to create Team B and I think this is a great move for player development,”
“Taking players from the academy team is different from promoting them from the team that is currently in Serie C. I believe that other clubs should open their minds more,” added Pirlo.
