Continuing their positive trend at the start of Italian Serie A campaign this season by beating Parma with a final score of 2-1 at the 3rd Giornata this weekend. However, Bianconneri manager, Massimilliano Allegri admitted his landing team was made difficult by the host, and finally won because of the opposing players.
As is known, Juventus did come to the Stadio Ennio Tardini to face Parma, which finally returned to the Italian Serie A stage after having collapsed bankrupt a few years ago. In the match, Juventus managed to lead first through Mario Mandzukic’s quick goal. They had a draw before the first half ended.
Luckily, in the final minutes of the match, Bianconneri managed to secure 3 points scored by Blaise Matuidi after utilizing a brilliant pass from Mario Mandzukic. These 3 points are very important for Juventus, in addition to maintaining the positive trends and the players’ confidence before the international break this weekend.
Team’s coach, Massimilliano Allegri was certainly pleased with this victory, but on other hand, he also admitted that the host Parma was quite troublesome for his players, especially given the fact that Juventus only won once in the last five meetings against Parma.
“The players have done everything very well. Parma has always been a difficult place, because we only won once from the last five trips.”
“Parma is struggling to continue to be in a safe situation. They are very organized and dangerous when doing counterattacks. But they were exhausted at the end of the fight. This is a worthy victory for us, but there is still a lot of homework to do. We should be more patient and not too rushed, as the first round game belongs to Parma,” said Allegri, as quoted by Sky Sport Italia.
