Juventus coach, Massimilliano Allegri spoke about the performances of his players in the match against Chievo Verona last weekend. Despite winning the match in the match through a thin final score of 3-2, the tactician still criticized the performance of the players who were considered to lack concentration.
As is known, Juventus finally indeed began their journey in the 2018/19 campaign with a trip to the Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodi to face Chievo Verona. In the match, Juventus took the lead through Sami Khedira’s quick goal, but the hosts chased after scoring two goals, after Bonucci had successfully netted Verona.
Indeed, in the end Federico Bernardeschi successfully scored a goal back at the end of the match and made it 3-2, a victory for Juventus. At least that victory raised the confidence of the Bianconneri players, especially it was the debut match for the club’s new mega star, Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently joined Real Madrid in the summer transfer window this year.
In that match, superstar Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score a debut goal, but that didn’t bother Allegri. In fact, he considered the appearance of the former Real Madrid superstar was good enough. Allegri was more interested in discussing the game in Juve’s back line, so he had to concede two goals.
“The main problem in this evening’s game was that we let our concentration disappear. We really can’t solve that one problem,” complained the coach after the match.
Throughout the match, Cristiano Ronaldo actually performed quite well, many opportunities obtained by the Portuguese mega star were just from the many opportunities, none of which managed to push into the host’s goal.
