Ansu Fati admits he often gets advice from Lionel Messi.
As one of the best players in the world, maybe even in the history of football, Lionel Messi is not the type of player who is stingy in sharing knowledge with his colleagues. This was also felt by Ansu Fati, he admitted that he often received advice from La Pulga.
Ansu Fati himself is one of the players who graduated from Barcelona’s La Masia academy, but lately the 18-year-old player is rarely seen on the field.
Ansu Fati is currently struggling to recover from the severe injury he suffered since the end of 2020. Luckily the recovery process went well.
However, a number of reports claim that the Spanish striker is still unable to play this March, it is likely that he will only be able to appear again in April.
So, on the sidelines of his recovery time, Ansu Fati then underwent an interview session with Laureus. In the interview, many things were discussed, including the role of Lionel Messi in developing his talents.
Who would have thought, Messi, who spent most of his career as a Barcelona player and won many awards as the best player, was a figure who often gave input to the Barcelona Junior players.
Ansu Fati admitted that he often received advice from the player nicknamed La Pulga.
“His advice to me? I try to show the same humility as him,”
“Regardless of what he has done, he is a very simple person, and the advice he gives is to continue to be humble,” said Fati.
Furthermore, Ansu Fati admitted that he was very grateful to be able to get the opportunity to play in a team with the best players like Lionel Messi, and learn from these players.
“It is a dream to be able to play with the best players in the world and learn from them in training sessions,” he said, still in the same interview session.
Apart from Lionel Messi, Ansu Fati also idolizes several Barcelona legends, and interestingly he is also a Cristiano Ronaldo fan.
“They are Victor Valdes, Puyol, Xavi or Iniesta, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,” he said when asked about the players he idolized.
