Antonio Conte admits he is addicted to coaching English clubs

Two years of experiencing the rigors of English football do not necessarily make Antonio Conte feel satisfied. The former Chelsea coach is still curious and still has the desire to coach a Premier League club in the future.

It should be noted that Conte himself handled an English club for the first time in 2016. At that time he was appointed to handle Chelsea after the club sacked Jose Mourinho from the manager’s seat shortly before.

It didn’t take long, in his debut season, the 51-year-old coach immediately helped the Blues win the Premier League.

But unfortunately, in the 2017/18 season, the performance shown by the Chelsea players actually decreased dramatically. Even though he managed to win the FA Cup, in the end Conte was still thrown out of the manager chair.

Having been on hiatus for a season, Conte finally chose to return to Italy with Inter Milan. Despite failing to present the championship trophy, he succeeded in delivering the Nerazzurri to second place in the final standings of Serie A.

Given his experience dealing with Premier League clubs which are quite tough for all coaches, Conte admits that he still wants to have a career there again someday.

“I still have this season and the following season on my contract with Inter and I just started a project here and, to be honest, I want to continue this project and stay as long as possible.”

“But, of course, in the future, I want to return to England to have another experience. Because I enjoy life in England,” Conte told The Telegraph.

Interestingly, the former successful coach of Juventus and the Italian National Team admits that he also has support from his family. In a sense, the family is also happy with their two years of life in Great Britain.

“For me, for my family, I want to return to England someday because we have had an extraordinary life experience there. And we want to continue to experience life in England,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan is currently ranked 7th in the Serie A standings with only 3 wins from 7 matches that have taken place.
