After successfully hijacking Malcom, Barcelona tried to make another breakthrough in the summer transfer market this year by landing Chilean star, Arturo Vidal. The player who has recently been rumored to be approaching the Italian Serie A giants, Inter Milan redeemed by pocketing 20 million euros from Bayern Munich by the Catalan giants.
As we known, Arturo Vidal, who was brought by Bayern Munich from Juventus in the summer transfer window in 2016, actually he still has a contract at the German club until 2020. It’s just that, the 31-year-old figure is believed to no longer be part of the plans of the new Bayern Munich coach, Niko Kovac who prefers to project young players.
Therefore, the former Juventus star is often rumored with a number of European giants, especially Inter Milan. In fact, based on recent news over the past few weeks, there has been a personal agreement reached by the former Bayer Leverkusen player with Inter Milan.
But, surprisingly in the final hours of Vidal’s transfer to Luciano Spalletti’s squad, it was Barcelona who managed to hook the player. This was confirmed by the Barcelona through its official statement, where Vidal would later agree on a three-year contract, and first complete a medical test before being presented as a new club player.
“FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Arturo Vidal, the deal with Arturo Vidal is for the next three seasons and awaits a medical review that will be carried out by the player in the coming days. FC Barcelona will immediately inform the arrival of the player and the introductory agenda, “said a statement on El Barca’s official website.
Vidal left Bayern after three years at the Allianz Arena, collecting 132 appearances and 22 goals in various competitions. The 31-year-old Chilean won three German Bundesliga titles.
According to the information we got, the 20-year-old figure was redeemed through a tag of no less than 20 million euros.
