Eating foods that are rich in nutrients and vitamins is certainly needed by everyone. The reason is, these intakes bring many benefits to the body such as boosting the immune system, strengthening bones and teeth, preventing premature aging and so on.
Healthy food will bring nutrition and a healthy intake for the body. However, please note, that there are several types of healthy intake that can actually be a cause of diabetes. Example:
- Fruit Juice
Fruits are one type of healthy food, contain lots of vitamins and fiber which are good for the body. However, when served as a juice, the pure sugar content in the fruit will be exposed to exceed the amount of nutrients and fiber.
So, is it not allowed to consume fruit juice? Of course you can, as long as it’s in a reasonable amount.
- Rice, Flour and Bread
Line of foods that can trigger diabetes not only because of high sugar content, but also because glucose is difficult to break down. Well, glucose content that is difficult to be broken down by enzymes in the body usually comes from Bread, Rice and Flour.
For information, Carbohydrates in three intake that contain sugar, if consumed too much can lead to diabetes. But that does not mean we have to leave these foods, or it could be with other alternatives such as Wheat.
- Dairy Products
Milk is known to have good Vitamin D content for bones and teeth. But keep in mind, some types of products processed from milk can trigger diabetes. Especially, dairy products that are high in fat.
Ice Cream, Yogurt, Cheese, Cream, Cream Cheese and Butter are included in the processed milk group which contains a lot of fat.
- Red Meat
Increase stamina and energy by consuming red meat. But remember, do not consume red meat too often, because the contents in it can trigger various diseases including diabetes.
This is because the nitrates in processed meat can have a negative impact on the pancreas, which makes sugar a fuel for the body. The sugar content in red meat is relatively high.
