Juventus managed to return to full points in the continued round of the European Champions League Group stage. Against Ferencvaros, Cristiano Ronaldo et al won 4-1. However, coach Andrea Pirlo still criticizes the performance of his players.
The defending champions of Italian Serie A travel to Budapest to face Ferencvaros in the 3rd Matcdays Group G, Thursday morning WIB (05/11). In this match, the Bianconneri carried a winning mission after the defeat to Barcelona on the previous matchdays.
They then won with a landslide score of 4-1, where striker Alvaro Morata became the Bianconneri’s star through his two goals against the hosts.
The other two goals were each scored by Paulo Dybala, and Lasha Dvali’s suicide. But unfortunately, Szczesny’s goal still conceded at the end of the match through Franck Boli’s goal.
Apart from that, the 4-1 victory is clearly a good score for Juventus, because then they are still perched in 2nd place in the standings.
However, coach Andrea Pirlo still criticized the performance of his players in this match which he thought was too selfish.
“We are satisfied with the result, but it can be better in terms of performance. We made too many mistakes because of complacency, so we have to develop to be even better,”
“I often talk to the players, but they are the ones who make decisions on the pitch. They should be able to reduce their selfishness and kill the game faster,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
Prior to this victory, Juventus also managed to win over Spezia in the Italian Serie A event. Two consecutive wins seem to be a sign that Pirlo has found the right and permanent formation.
But the former AC Milan player said he plans to continue experimenting with the Juventus squad.
“We played with two attackers plus two players wide. Once everything is in good shape, we can evaluate who can be played together,”
“So far, everything is not in 100 percent condition, so it is only natural that the rotation is still being done and leaving one of them,” added Pirlo.
