A flattery is heaped again by Manchester United legend Bryan Robson to one of his former club’s new recruits, Bruno Fernandez. He considered the Portuguese teenager as a bead of Paul Scholes.
The 25-year-old midfielder is classified as a newer Manchester United player. He just joined the January 2020 winter transfer market yesterday, after being redeemed for £55 million from Sporting CP.
Although as a new personnel, Bruno did not need a long time of adaptation, he even immediately gave an instant impact to the Red Devils. Within a period of about one and a half months, the player managed to pack 3 goals and 4 assists in all competitions.
Unfortunately, Bruno Fernandez’s actions cannot continue any longer, because the Premier League competition is being suspended due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. Bryan Robson regretted that, because with Portugal midfielder, MU’s performance was very promising.
“The performance of this team before the lockdown was really promising,” Robson told The Daily Mail.
On the same occasion, Robson considers Bruno Fernandez to be able to become a key player for the Red Devils. The performance shown by the Portuguese player reminded him of the figure of Paul Scholes.
“The indications so far show that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken the right step. This is evident from the recruitment of Bruno Fernandes who is truly extraordinary. ”
“He looks like a MU player. He has a great attitude, and he is the player who is most like Paul Scholes in the technical aspects, then how he looks for space, and how his instinct to kick the ball,” he said.
Manchester United is believed to be outstanding if the competition continues. Duet Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandez will make Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troops more mature, especially if Marcus Rashford is fit and playing again.
“If we combine his abilities with Scott McTominay who is growing and Marcus Rashford returning to fit, then everything looks better for United,” he said.
In the Premier League standings, currently Manchester United are in 5th position, they are four points behind Chelsea, who occupied the 4th place.
