Former Real Madrid and the Italian national team Antonio Cassano was so impressed by Ibrahimovic’s appearance with AC Milan at his age. In fact, Cassano called Ibra the 3rd best striker in history.
The Swedish striker is indeed a very dangerous player in front of the opponent’s goal. With his posture and technique, Ibra seems to be able to score goals from any direction and with his unique style.
Throughout his career, the former Barcelona has defended a number of European giants including Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester United to the United States club, LA Galaxy.
Even though he is no longer young, 39 years old, Ibra still looks fierce with AC Milan. He is still fit and still sharp in the opponent’s penalty area.
Well, Cassano himself had been Ibra’s teammate, to be precise when the Swedish player had his first period with AC Milan first. In fact, at that time Ibra and Cassano succeeded in bringing the Rossoneri to the Scudetto title.
Now, seeing his former teammate still appearing fierce at such a young age, Cassano looks impressed. He even called Ibra the third best striker in history, after Ronaldo (Brazil) and Van Basten, or the best in the world today.
“After Ronaldo the Phenomenon and [Marco] Van Basten, Ibra is the third strongest center forward in history, the most complete I have ever seen,” he said as quoted by the Italian Football.
Ibra himself is the oldest player among the AC Milan players currently in the squad. However, Ibra admitted that he was ready to bear the burden of the team, and let the young players focus on improving their performance.
“I will bear the pressure and responsibility, they don’t have to feel it.”
“I will take care of it, they just have to work, believe and follow our path. Difficult times come for everyone, it’s part of the season, but the most important thing is to keep thinking positive, “concluded Ibrahimovic.
During his career as a football player, Ibra has scored 475 goals and 186 assists in all competitions at club level.
