Club World Cup Champion, Liverpool win over MU’s record

Liverpool managed to add to their trophy collection in 2019 after winning the Club World Cup tournament in Qatar. In fact, the title made the Marseyside Team have collected three trophies throughout 2019, with the three trophies and even then they managed to beat the rival record, Manchester United.

As is known, Liverpool was sent as a European representative to play in the Club World Cup tournament, after their success in winning the Champions League 2018/19 season yesterday. In the semifinals, the Reds successfully defeated Monterrey, the CONCACAF representative was defeated by a narrow score of 2-1.

In the final round, the Marseyside Team must face Flamengo as representatives of the CONMEBOL zone. Salah CS seemed difficult to win the final match, which took place last Sunday (12/22), but in the end, Roberto Firmino became the hero of the Premier League club’s victory thanks to his only goal in extra time.

The score of 1-0 is enough to bring the landing team Jurgen Klopp out as the champion of this annual competition. Well, in fact this trophy is the third trophy won by Liverpool throughout 2019. With the addition of these three trophies, Liverpool collected 47 trophies and two trophies ahead of Manchester United. Arsenal followed in third place with 30 trophies.

Chelsea followed in fourth place with 24 trophies. While the fifth position is filled by Aston Villa with 20 Cups. Whereas Manchester City, which is the defending champion of the Premier League in the last two seasons, is outside the top 5 because it has only collected 19 championship trophies. Naturally, given that they could only compete since it was acquired by a Middle East conglomerate in 2008.

Of course Liverpool can still add to their title collection in this 2019/20 season, including the Premier League title. The reason is, the Reds are now 10 points ahead of their closest rivals, Leicester City in the standings. If successful, Liverpool will quench the thirst of the primary league trophy that they have not won since 1990 ago.

Meanwhile, below is following list of 47 trophies that have been collected by Liverpool so far:
18 English League Champion Titles (When Still in First Division Format)
7 FA Cups
8 English League Cups
6 Champions League
3 Europa League
