UEFA finally officially reduced the suspension of the match obtained by the Portuguese mega star, Cristiano Ronaldo, where with the reduction the player only missed the match against Young Boys and could appear when Juventus travel to Old Trafford. Related to this, Manager Max Allegri confirmed that Ronaldo was indeed very worthy of facing his former club.
As is known, Cristiano Ronaldo was indeed worried about being absent in 3 phase matches of the European Champions League group this season, if he looked at UEFA regulations. This 33-year-old player found a red card directly from the referee in the first match against Valencia on the group’s 1st matchdays of the group.
The red card was given by the court because Ronaldo was deemed to have committed acts of violence against Jeison Murrillo, in a situation without a fight over the ball in the Valencia penalty box. But in a replay, there was no act of violence committed by the former Real Madrid star, he only asked Murillo to wake up to finish his diving action.
No wonder many parties considered that the referee had made the wrong decision by giving Ronaldo a red card. UEFA finally granted the wave of protest, and reduced Ronaldo’s match suspension sanction to one match. That means he just missed the match against Young Boyz in Week 2, and can appear against the former club, Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Associated with the reduction of these sanctions, team’s coach, Massimilliano Allegri confirmed that Ronaldo was indeed very worthy to appear in the match against Manchester United.
“I am happy, that he will play against Manchester United, he works well, even in the match against Bologna he has a good match. It’s true he plays for the team, just like the team plays for him. Then, we have to improve on a number of things, we have to serve it better, but we are together lately, we all have time to develop,” said Allegri at a press conference ahead of Napoli on Saturday.
