Don’t cross out Madrid from this season’s Champions League

After Cristiano Ronaldo left, Real Madrid is considered by some people will weaken in the 2018/19 season campaign. But, Barcelona’s mainstay striker, Luis Suarez did not feel that his rival lost his strength without the presence of Ronaldo, the Uruguayan player advised the public not to cross Los Blancos from the championship this season.

As is known, Real Madrid has indeed lost Cristiano Ronaldo, as the Portuguese mega-star decided to leave the transfer market this summer to Juventus. For the past 9 years with Cristiano Ronaldo being deployed, Real Madrid have won everything from La Liga to 4 European Champions League trophies.

Ronaldo contributed greatly to the process of success of Real Madrid during this period by scoring no less than 450 goals in all competitions. No wonder, Real Madrid are considered to be weakened without the presence of the 33-year-old player this season. Moreover, the fact that Los Blancos still has not landed players who are commensurate to replace the club’s top scorer of all time.

But the assumption is not in line with the views of Barcelona’s main striker, Luis Suarez. According to him, Real Madrid did not weaken in line with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. He also asked people not to cross out Julen Lopetegui’s directive squad from the championship listing this season.

“Madrid has a lot of quality and brand-new coaches, you have to be careful [cross them out]. Madrid and Barca are both above individual players. The players in Madrid who have sunk before now perform at a good level,” said Suarez.

Meanwhile, Barca retain all their best players this summer and add four new players to Arthur Melo, Clement Lenglet, Malcom and Arturo Vidal, who they hope will add to the depth of the squad for Champions League success.
