Inter Milan coach, Antonio Conte cannot deny that the match against Real Madrid this morning is like a final that his team must win.
As is known, the Nerazzurri will indeed host Real Madrid on matchday 4 Group B of the 2020/21 Champions League, Thursday (26/11) in the morning WIB.
Inter Milan itself is indeed in a position that requires them to win. The reason is, currently Antonio Conte’s troops are at the bottom of the standings with only 2 points from the 3 group phase matches that have taken place.
In other words, there is no other way or alternative for Inter Milan to keep their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages other than winning over Real Madrid.
Coach Antonio Conte really understands this fact, so he hopes that the Inter Milan players can look seriously at the match against Real Madrid at the Giuseppe Meazza later.
However, Conte also realizes that against Real Madrid is never easy, even though Zinedine Zidane’s men are being hit by a storm of injuries.
“For us this is a final match. After the defeat in Madrid and the previous two draws, we don’t have much of a way out,”
“It will be a very difficult match, we know Real are a tough team, even the last few years have said so.” said Conte to the Italian Football.
What the former Chelsea coach expects is a performance like against Torino last weekend. In that match, Inter fell behind by two goals in the first half, then hit back with four goals in the second half and won.
“If we want, we can do well, and in the last game we have proven that. We can play well, with humility and focus. We have to win.” He continued.
However, it is also highly likely that Inter Milan will fail and not reach the knockout stages. If that happens, all parties are responsible.
“We have to make it happen, a lot of expectations on our shoulders. Even so, facts are still facts, and everyone must be responsible. Me, the squad and the club,” continued Conte.
