The anxieties of AC Milan fans are linked to the future continuation of Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain at the San Siro, as the loan from Juventus is believed to have gotten closer to the Premier League giants Chelsea. The indication of Higuain’s transfer to Stamford Bridge is getting stronger along with the signal issued by manager Gennaro Gattuso recently related to the situation of the flagship striker.
As is known, Gonzalo Higuain joined AC Milan in the summer transfer market with the status as a loan player from Juventus for the next season. During the first half of the season, the player nicknamed El Pipita appeared quite well along with the Rossoneri. Meanwhile, Chelsea actually tried to target Higuain in the summer transfer window, unfortunately failed to reach an agreement with Juventus.
Believed, the Blues are still trying to negotiate with the defending champions Serie A so that their new coach Maurizio Sarri can reunite with the former Napoli star at Stamford Bridge. What’s more, the fact is that currently Chelsea don’t have a pure striker who can be relied on, considering Alvaro Morata is still playing below the standard. No wonder if later the discourse appeared Higuain purchase from AC Milan.
This transfer issue is increasingly being discussed by the Italian media later, even coach Gennaro Gattuso also gave a hint that the Argentine player would indeed join Chelsea.
“At the moment, Higuain is a Milan player and we hold him tight. I don’t know what will happen. We are honest with each other and I want him to maintain this [professional] attitude, which has never diminished so far. I have talked to Higuain a lot, but it’s difficult to give advice because a player’s career only lasts 13 to 14 years. This is a matter of thinking, not me. Most important is to speak as a real man, look into each other’s eyes, and tell the truth.”
“I haven’t found out what Higuain didn’t like, because I saw him look satisfied and involved in the atmosphere [victory over Sampdoria] in the dressing room. We will see what happens. If it’s up to me, I will hold him in my house and give him dinner, he concluded,” said Gattuso as quoted by Milan TV.
