Giggs reminds Chelsea not to underestimate Manchester United

The advanced Premier League this weekend will promise a fierce duel between two giant teams, Chelsea against Manchester United. With the fact that the Blues performed better at the start of this season and will play at home, maybe Maurizio Sarri’s team is more favored to win, but Ryan Giggs insists that MU cannot be underestimated.

Chelsea at first was doubtful to look good, despite being led by new manager Maurizio Sarri. This is because of the lack of new recruits they brought in during the transfer market last summer. But, the fact is the Blues actually appeared moncer at the start of this season, packing 6 wins from 8 Premier League matches that have taken place, and held back a draw twice.

With unbeaten so far, Chelsea have packed 20 points, ranked second in the standings with just behind goal difference from the summit, Manchester City. While Manchester United, it suffered an ironic fate. From 8 matches, they only won 4 times, and swallowed 3 defeats.

As a result of these poor results, the Red Devils now sit in 8th position in the standings. Naturally, if they are not seeded they will win when they travel to Stamford Bridge next weekend. But, MU legend Ryan Giggs, insists that MU cannot be underestimated.

“There are a lot of things being discussed about Manchester United and Jose Mourinho, but if you look at the last match against Newcastle, such a revival will add to confidence. Now is the period where United must prepare themselves as best as possible and I will not be surprised if they can do it well. Mourinho’s team has the ability to face and compensate for a good team. ”

“With the attacking ability of the line, United always have the chance to win.” told Old Trafford legend to Sky Sports.

Furthermore, Giggs asks the public to stop blaming manager Jose Mourinho every time the team loses in a match.

“For example Anthony Martial, he performed poorly in the first half (contra Newcastle) but was brilliant in the second half. This condition has nothing to do with the manager, the player himself does it all. So you can’t charge everything to the manager. In the last match United managed to score three goals, obviously there is a threat here,” he said.
