Jadon Sancho officially extended in Dortmund

Manchester United are sure to bite their fingers in relation to their efforts to recruit a potential winger, Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund can confirm that their flagship player will stay at Signal Iduna Park next season.

The former Manchester City academy player has indeed been linked with Manchester United in recent months. The issue of his move to Old Trafford was intensely heard in the British media.

It was even stated that there was actually a personal agreement between the Red Devils and Jadon Sancho.

With this agreement, Manchester United only had to reach an agreement with Dprtmund. It was stated that MU agreed to fulfill the price tag of 120 million Euro set by Die Borussien, but they would pay it in installments.

But the negotiation process did not end there, Dortmund was reportedly not satisfied with the offer made by the Red Devils. As a result, the negotiation process became tough and reached a dead end.

The clarity of this transfer is increasingly raising questions, because Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been silent several times when asked about this.

But now, it is certain that Jadon Sancho will not join Old Trafford this summer. The Sporting Director of Dortmund, Michael Zorc, who confirmed this in front of the media crew.

“Jadon Sancho will play with us next season. This decision is final. I think it has answered all the questions,”

“Last summer we adjusted Jadon’s salary to match his progress. So in this context, we have extended his contract until 2023,” Zorc said as quoted by Goal International.

There were reports claiming that Dortmund had set a deadline for this transfer earlier. Manchester United must make the first payment by 10 August 2020.

But on the one hand, the ultimatum did not make sense by Manchester United. They don’t want to rush Sancho’s transfer process.

As a result, no agreement was reached, both parties remained firm in their stance. Jadon Sancho will stay at Dortmund next season.

Of course, MU fans are disappointed with this fact, considering that Jadon Sancho has performed brilliantly in the last two seasons.
