The romance between Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp is still going on, but of course every meeting will have a farewell. The German coach acknowledged this, and he already has plans if that happens one day.
Liverpool has been handled by Jurgen Klopp since the end of 2015. Since his tutelage, the Reds appear even better and finally won a series of prestigious titles.
During the last two consecutive seasons, the man from Germany has won a total of four titles. These include the European Champions League title and the Premier League title.
Naturally, if the Reds management continues to try to keep the manager by giving a new contract.
It should be noted, Klopp himself still has a contract that binds him until 2024 at Anfield. However, there is hope the German manager can stay at Anfield for much longer.
But, if the breakup with Liverpool finally happens, then what is Jurgen Klopp’s plan?
The German coach is quite surprised by the questions he often hears, even though at a rival club there is Pep Guardiola with one year remaining on his contract.
“A lot of people ask this question of me. I have never heard someone ask Pep Guardiola about it but his contract expires next year,” replied Klopp.
However, Klopp still answered the question by making one promise. The promise is that he will not handle another club for the full season after parting ways with the Reds.
“If I don’t renew my contract, I’ll go on vacation. When I leave Liverpool, I won’t take a new job the next day,”
“That’s for sure. I’ll take a one-year break after Liverpool,” said Klopp.
Furthermore, the former Borussia Dortmund coach was asked to compare the atmosphere of football in Germany with that in England. According to him, the Premier League has a more intense atmosphere.
“Borussia Dortmund obviously has the best atmosphere in Germany but Liverpool are still on another level. This is crazy!” said Klopp.
In Germany, Klopp himself has handled Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund.
