Amid the speculation of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the Juventus squad this summer, the Bianconneri received advice from their former striker Franco Causio to sign Argentina striker Sergio Aguero.
As is known, recently Juventus have continued to be rumored to be recruiting new strikers in the transfer market next summer. This is because Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence has never been able to present the Champions League trophy.
Even worse, the Bianconneri were even eliminated in the last 16 of the European Champions League this season after being knocked out by FC Porto. Not only that, the Turin Club is also in danger of failing to defend the Scudetto title.
Regardless of achievement, an indisputable fact is the presence of a pure striker in Andrea Pirlo’s squad. At the moment, they only have one Pure striker in Alvaro Morata.
No doubt, Juventus have also been linked with a number of Europe’s top strikers, but it is not clear which player they will sign.
On the one hand, Sergio Aguero is certain to part with Manchester City in the summer because his contract at the Etihad ends in June 2021.
Even though he is 32 years old, the Argentine is still very reliable in terms of scoring goals, especially since he can be obtained for free because of his status as a free transfer player.
That’s why Causio suggested the Bianconneri to take this opportunity to get Aguero’s services.
“He will be perfect for Juventus. He has proven that he can be useful for many clubs, as long as he is 100 per cent fit. ”
“Players are no longer old at 32 years of age. If I were at Juventus, I would offer him a two-year contract because I believe he can still give a lot, “exclaimed Causio to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Furthermore, Causio shared his opinion about Aguero who could follow in Carlos Tevez’s footsteps at Juventus.
“He can be like Tevez. But he must be motivated and want to win, like Tevez did, “he said.
As is known, Tevez has indeed played for Juventus in the 2013-2015 period, where he was still able to appear sharp at that time.
