Klopp Lost to MU was painful, but we don’t need to be upset!

Jurgen Klopp admitted that yesterday’s defeat to Manchester United was painful, but the German manager asked the Reds fans not to be upset about the players’ performance.

The North-West Derby duel took place on Monday morning WIB (25/01) at Old Trafford. The match, titled the fourth round of the FA Cup, was won by Manchester United with a final position of 3-2.

The three winning goals for the Red Devils were scored by Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood each. Meanwhile, Liverpool could only reply through a pair of goals from Mohamed Salah.

This defeat automatically knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup, and of course it is a harsh reality.

Not only because of the fact that MU is their eternal rival, but also because Klopp has prepared his team to win in this match.

“It was definitely not the result we wanted, so the result frustrated us. We are not at our top level, but we have made many steps in a big direction,” Klopp was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

In addition, the defeat made Liverpool’s statistics even worse. They have only won once in the last 7 matches in all competitions, were eliminated in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and are ranked 4th in the Premier League standings.

Indeed, that fact looks disappointing, but coach Jurgen Klopp asked the fans not to be too worried about the performance of their favorite team.

“You don’t need to worry about us. As a team, we are really united. I saw a lot of steps in a big direction and they were all good,” said the German.

Liverpool are indeed not on friendly terms this season, some of their mainstay players are still sidelined due to injuries such as Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip and others.

But anyway, the Reds must still be ready to face tough matches for the rest of this season. Like tomorrow’s weekend, where Liverpool have to undergo a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Big Match duel is planned to take place at Tottenham headquarters.
