Chelsea’s new coach, Maurizio Sarri, does not demand so much for the club to bring in certain players in the summer transfer market this year. However, heard news that the former Napoli manager had asked Chelsea to land young Spanish midfielder, Denis Suarez.
As is known, Maurizio Sarri has indeed been officially appointed to be Chelsea’s new manager in the summer transfer window this year, replacing Antonio Conte who was ousted some time ago. Although Jorginho only brought in a man during the transfer period this summer, Sarri managed to convince club leaders to stay on, as Eden Hazard and Willian were later rumored to be close to Spain.
However, according to recent reports, Sarri is believed to want the services of young Spanish midfielder Denis Suarez. Unfortunately, his desire was not well received along with Denis Suarez’s decision to stay at the Camp Nou.
Reported by Cadena Cope, the Blues had tried to bring Suarez based on a recommendation from Sarri. However, in the end it failed because the midfielder chose to stay at Camp Nou, whose contract is valid until 2020.
Sarri seems to have been attracted by Suarez when he was still in charge of Napoli and the Italian coach tried to realize his wish after handling Chelsea. Suarez, who had to fight under Ernesto Valverde with 18 appearances in La Liga last season, had experience in England as a graduate of the Manchester City academy.
Indeed, several times the 24-year-old player expressed his determination to stay at the Camp Nou, even he was optimistic that along with the departure of Andres Iniesta, his chances of penetrating Barcelona’s main squad grew.
