Mikel Arteta Berikan Kredit Khusus Untuk Granit Xhaka

Mikel Arteta Gives Special Credit To Xhaka Granite

Arsenal look like they are back on the right track, if you look at the results they have gotten in the last few matches, including against Leiceseter City last weekend. So, regarding that, coach Mikel Arteta gave special credit to the team captain, Granit Xhaka.

It must be admitted that the Swiss midfielder has transformed into a different player since Arsenal was handled by Mikel Arteta. In fact, it could be said that he is already an important player for the North London Club.

Leaving aside the goals and assists statistics, considering that Xhaka is a central midfielder, this Swiss player plays an important role in Arsenal’s gameplay, as is his aggressive and tactical movement in midfield.

Indirectly, Xhaka seems to have contributed greatly to Arsenal’s success in making a comeback in the last two matches, each against Benfica in the Europa League and Leicester City last weekend in the Premier League event.

As the Captain, Xhaka seemed to carry out his role very well, keeping his colleagues calm even though they were left behind until they finally won back.

This is what makes coach Mikel Arteta send special praise to the former Borussia M’Gladbach player. In fact, Arteta considers him the right example to be imitated on the field.

“If you have to give an example in the field about character and struggling as much as possible with high determination, maybe he [Xhaka] is the most appropriate person,”

“He took more minutes than any other player but he kept running, even when he was very tired. He tried to help the team in the right way,” Arteta said at Arsenal.com.

The same flattery goes to Brazilian defender David Luiz, who according to him has a great desire to win.

“The same is true for David. For a player like him, at his age, to play at a fast tempo after what we went through against Benfica, it’s obviously difficult.”

“But they showed the right attitude that they always wanted to be involved. They wanted to play, and that’s how they approached the match,” he concluded.
