Defender Dejan Lovren is certain to end his story at Liverpool this summer. Regarding the departure of the Croatian player, Mohamed Salah claimed to be one who would miss his presence.
Dejan Lovren joined Liverpool since being recruited from Southampton in the 2014 summer transfer market. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah had only moved to Anfield three years ago.
But somehow, Lovren could actually become Salah’s best friend at Liverpool, which continued off the pitch. Both of these players also contributed to Liverpool’s success in the last two seasons.
They helped the Marseyside team become champions in the European Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and the latest Premier League.
However, the closeness of Salah and Lovren will certainly be separated, because the Croatia national team defender will leave Anfield this summer. It was said that Lovren had reached an agreement with the Russian club, Zenit St. Petersburg.
Regarding the departure of his close friend, Salah claimed that he could not say much. For him, Lovren is a friend on and off the pitch, his presence is vital for this Egyptian star.
For this reason, Salah claimed that he would miss Lovren’s presence in the dressing room and on the field.
“I don’t know what to say, my friend. You don’t know how I feel now. We will really miss you, especially me,”
“You are an amazing player and a good friend of mine. We will miss you. I miss you, I love you. You are fantastic on and off the pitch.” Thus said Salah on Liverpool’s official website.
One to thank Lovren both as a teammate and as a friend off the field. He believes that the Croatian has a long career and his abilities need not be doubted.
“So, thank you for everything you do for this club, thank you for what you did for me. I wish you the best in the future.”
“And hopefully your career goes well, enjoy your new club with family. Thank you very much and see you again,” he said.
