Manchester United’s coach, Jose Mourinho gave special praises to the French National Team midfielder Paul Pogba, who performed brilliantly and scored in the opening English Premier League match against Leicester City this morning (11/08). According to this Portuguese coach, Paul Pogba is a monster.
As we known, Manchester United has indeed played their first match in the English Premier League 2018/19 season, on Saturday morning local time (11/08) against Leicester City. The match which took place at Old Trafford was won by Jose Mourinho’s squad with a thin final score of 2-1.
Paul Pogba opened the scoring for Manchester Unietd through a penalty spot, while the second goal was scored by Luke Shaw. The visitors were able to reduce the deficit at the end of the second half through Jamie Vardy’s goal, unfortunately not enough time for the Foxes to equalize, a 2-1 score lasted until the referee blew the long sign to end the match.
Paul Pogba was the main star of the Red Devils throughout the match, although he did not play fully, but he was able to score one goal and tear apart Leicester City’s defense. No wonder the former Juventus star then received praise from manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho who was happy with the three points in the victory, thought that Pogba’s 60 minutes were enough to play the maximum for the Red Devils.
“Pogba is a monster, we judge, 60 minutes is maximum enough for Pogba. But he made it to 80 minutes, then [Romelu] Lukaku and [Marouane] Fellaini available to help the team. ”
“I think this is three good points, a good win. “Tomorrow morning training and free Sunday deserve [the players],” told Mourinho.
