Francesco Guidotti as manager of the Pramac Racing Team believes that although Jack Miller has agreed to move to Ducati next season, the burden he carried this season is still the same.
About a month ago, the Australian rider was officially announced to defend the Ducati manufacturer’s team in 2021. According to the agreement reached, Jack Miller got a one-year contract.
At the Italian manufacturer, the 25-year-old rider will replace Danilo Petrucci who previously moved to Red Bull KTM Tech 3.
Jack Miller himself was relieved by the fact that his contract business was over, because then he would no longer think about problems next season.
In other words, this Australian Rider can perform without burden and be more focused through the 2020 season, which will be his last year defending Pramac Racing. But not according to Franceco Guidotti who is Pramac Racing Manager.
According to him, Jack Miller still has the same burden, where he is obliged to perform better in the campaign this season.
“When a rider doesn’t have a contract, he drives under pressure. If he has a contract, he might be more free in driving. But maybe he will appear with the desire to show that he is indeed eligible for the contract.
In MotoGP, it’s hard to race without pressure. Know how to control the pressure that must be done by the rider, “he said.
After winning 5 podiums in the 2019 campaign yesterday, of course Pramac Racing hopes that Jack Miller can be more consistent this season and win more podiums and even victories.
“Our expectation for Jack is to perform better than last year. Every year we always try to improve something. Last year all went well, especially in the second half of the season. I certainly want us to start this season with that level, “he said.
The 2020 season will be short because of the coronavirus pandemic which delayed a number of early MotoGP series. However, Pramac Racing hopes that it will not be a reason for Jack Miller to perform better.
