Paul Pogba is still a Manchester United player, his contract at Old Trafford is still valid. However, former French player Mikael Silvestre believes that the 27-year-old midfielder is already thinking about leaving in the next transfer window.
The former Juventus player did make a scene last summer by saying he wanted to get a new challenge in his career. These words automatically signaled that he really wanted to leave Manchester United.
Throughout the transfer market, Pogba is associated with a number of clubs, and the most widely known are Juventus and Real Madrid. However, the transfer discourse did not materialize so that Pogba remained at Manchester United this season.
However, Pogba actually more often pulled over because of injury in the campaign this season. He almost recovered before the Premier League was suspended due to the corona virus. Even so, this situation does not necessarily make speculation that Pogba’s future just sinks.
British media believe that Pogba plans to keep leaving Old Trafford in the transfer market next summer. Regarding these speculations, former Arsenal player Mikael Silvestre personally hopes that Pogba will stay at MU next season.
Nevertheless, Silvestre felt that Pogba did not have any intention to stay at Old Trafford anymore.
Paul is being missed because he can bring so many things to the team and most of us hope he can do that more regularly.
That’s all right now and we all have to wait and see what will happen but it looks like his head is no longer at United,” Silvestre said to The Athletic.
MU actually already has the figure of a reliable midfielder from Portugal, Bruno Fernandes who was bought last winter. However, Silvestre hopes to see Pogba can go well with the former Sporting CP player.
But I just hope they see the best in him as he should be at the peak of his performance now, with regard to his age and experience with United and France. It would be nice to see him in midfield with Bruno Fernandes,” he said.
