The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir Joko Widodo or Jokowi fulfilled his promise to be the first person in Indonesia to receive the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine, one of the Covid-19 vaccines recognized by WHO. So, how did Jokowi feel?
Previously, it should be noted that in the last few months various types of Corona Vaccines that have been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) have emerged, including the Sinovac Vaccine.
This vaccine has even officially received the blessing of the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) in the form of an emergency use authorization (EUA) on Monday (11/1/2021). In clinical trials, the Sinovac vaccine demonstrated an efficacy of 65.3 percent.
President Jokowi has also announced that Indonesia will use the Sinovac Vaccine as an antidote to the Corona Virus. When announcing this, many people asked President Jokowi himself to be the recipient of the first synovac vaccine.
The number one person in Indonesia agreed to the demand, and he actually fulfilled his promise to be the first person in Indonesia to receive the Sinovac vaccine this Wednesday morning (13/01).
The process of giving the first vaccine was broadcast live on the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Jokowi received the first dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine. Before being injected, Jokowi was tested for blood pressure and asked whether he had any symptoms or not.
After this check, the injection was carried out directly at the third table, and not long after, the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Presidential Doctor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Muthalib immediately advanced to become the executor of the Vaccine injector in President Jokowi’s arm.
After receiving the vaccine, President Jokowi revealed the reaction he felt. The man from Solo admitted that he didn’t feel anything during the injection process.
“It doesn’t feel at all,” said Jokowi when asked by the doctor about how he felt after being injected the vaccine.
As well as President Joko Widodo, a number of other officials were also vaccinated. Among them are Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin and PB IDI Chairman Dr. Daeng M Faqih.
Later people who have not been exposed to the corona virus will be prioritized to receive this vaccine.
