Sebastian Vettel officially confirmed move to Aston Martin

The German driver, Sebastian Vettel, is confirmed to have officially parted ways with Ferrari to become part of Aston Martin at the Formula 1 Grand Pix event for the upcoming 2021 season.

The news actually came along with the decision taken by Sergio Perez to part with the British manufacturer. In fact, it should be noted that Sergio Perez’s contract will only end in 2022.

The news of Sebastian Vettel’s arrival made many parties feel enthusiastic. The reason is, the 33-year-old driver has proven experience and quality.

“Everyone at Silverstone is excited about this news. Sebastian is a proven champion and carries a winning mentality that can fulfill our ambitions for the future of the Aston Martin F1 team,” said team boss Otmar Szafnauer, on the official Racing Point website.

Furthermore, Otmar added that his side had not found a better figure than Vettel’s confirmation to carry the burden as the new Aston Martin Driver to replace Sergio Perez next season.

“On Saturday or Sunday afternoon, Sebastian is one of the best in the world, and I can’t think of a better driver to help us in this new era. He will play an important role in taking this team to the next level,” he added.

Vettel himself is considered to be one of the best drivers if you look at his track record. He has won world titles in four consecutive years, starting from 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

In addition, Vettel has also recorded 53 victories during his participation at the Grand Pix event.
