Manchester City did not seem to be interested in releasing one of their main winger, Kevin De Bruyne, because Pep Guardiola insisted that the Belgian had a very good ability for his team. The Spanish coach invited De Bruyne’s enthusiasts to redeem it through pocket no less than 250 million Euros.
Kevin De Bruyne has actually joined Manchester City since the 2015 summer transfer market. Since being redeemed from Wolfsburg, this former Chelsea player is immediately part of Manchester City’s main squad. Pep Guardiola’s arrival in 2016 also further strengthened De Bruyne’s position in the main Citizen squad.
In 2017/18 campaign, De Bruyne helped Manchester City win the English Premier League title. He even got into the competition’s best player candidate, but was eventually defeated by Mohamed Salah. No wonder if with that ability, Pep Guardiola ceaselessly sent flattery to De Bruyne, and the former Barcelona success coach also confirmed that the Belgian star was not sold.
“He is very good. He was a very dynamic player, [Leeds United boss] Marcelo Bielsa told me, he [De Bruyne] was his favorite player. He does everything. At other times, I meet his parents and you often understand how children are when you know their parents. He is an extraordinary man. The clause is € 250 million. Sorry, he wasn’t sold,” said Guardiola in an interview with Universo Valdano.
Furthermore, the Spanish coach spoke about the opportunity to handle the National Team.
“Yes, I will train the national team if I am given a chance and they want me. I want to try. I am always curious about this.” said him.
