There is still a second leg, Juventus complacent about victory

Adrien Rabiot asked his Juventus team-mates not to be complacent about the first leg victory over Inter Milan. The reason is, the Semifinal Duel has not ended, there is still a second leg that must be passed to advance to the final party.

As is known, the Juventus versus Inter Milan duel colored the Coppa Italia semifinals this season. The first leg between the two teams with strong rivalries took place on Wednesday morning WIB (03/02) at the Giuseppe Meazza.

In that party, Andrea Pirlo’s men fell behind first due to a goal scored by Lautaro Martinez in the 29th minute.

But before the first half ended, Juventus successfully scored two goals back through Cristiano Ronaldo, the score turned to 1-2, the Bianconneri’s advantage. No more goals were scored during the second half, so Juventus won 2-1.

Of course, winning capital in the first leg, especially at the opponent’s headquarters, is a good asset to advance to the final round. But still, Inter Milan is not an opponent to be underestimated.

It is for this reason that midfielder Adrien Rabiot asked his colleagues not to be tempted to win the first leg, he even believes the second leg at Allianz Stadium will be more difficult.

“The duel is not over, there is still something to play and it will feel much heavier than this one,”

“We have to prove to ourselves once again to secure our place in the final,” the French midfielder told RAI Sport after the match.

As for the 2020/21 season, Juventus have faced Inter Milan twice, where their first meeting on the Serie A stage ended with the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 victory.

Rabiot thinks it is clear evidence that Inter Milan is indeed a difficult opponent, but this morning, Juventus played solidly on all fronts.

“This is an important match, the Serie A match shows that Inter is not an easy team to face. This is a different team performance, we show that we are at the right level to beat Inter, and look solid at the back,” he concluded.
