One of the Bayern Munich players, Thomas Muller, hinted that he might move clubs in the summer. Interestingly, the German striker spread the “code” for Premier League giants Liverpool.
For information, Thomas Muller has been part of Bayern Munich since 2000, eight years later he also got the opportunity to play for the first team.
Until now, Muller has remained loyal to Die Bavarians and has recorded a total of 212 goals from 571 appearances in all competitions. He was linked with Manchester United, but in the end the player stayed at the Allianz Arena.
For approximately 13 years, Muller has contributed to the achievement of 27 titles, including 2 European Champions League titles, 9 German Bundesliga titles.
Muller also contributed to the two treble winners achieved by Bayern Munich, each in the 2012/13 season and the 2019/20 season.
Now that he is 31 years old, and usually footballers are approaching retirement at that age, so will Muller continue to stay at Bayern Munich and become ‘One Man Club’?
Responding to that, Muller admitted that he did not rule out the possibility of moving clubs in the future. Interestingly, he admitted that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Thiago Alcantara who moved to Liverpool in the transfer market last summer.
“I’m not fixated on this club. I have a special relationship, I loved Bayern before I even started playing for them,”
“But when there is a situation where you have to decide to play at a different club, it will not be embarrassing and not a problem at all. Maybe like Thiago,” he said.
The Premier League has always been the prima donna for any player, Muller himself does not deny this, but on the one hand he can also be constrained by the culture and language there.
“But some cultures … talk and such, special dialects. I don’t understand everything,” concluded Muller.
In fact, in the summer transfer market in 2017, Liverpool was rumored to be with Thomas Muller, but as is known the Reds finally recruited Mohamed Salah.
