The 2020 European GP Series which took place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia last weekend was won by the Suzuki Elcstar Rider, Joan Mir. Yes, the racer from Spain finally won his first victory in MotoGP 2020.
The victory then made Joan Mir, who is only 23 years old, now stronger at the top of the standings with 162 points. With two series remaining, the chances of becoming a champion should be even greater.
Interestingly, at the race that was held last Sunday (08/11), Joan Mir initially left behind his partner, Alex Rins, who led the race. Only when the race had 11 laps remaining, he managed to bloat Alex Rins and lead until the last lap.
In other words, the two main podiums in the European Series last weekend were occupied by two Suzuki riders. Meanwhile, the last podium was occupied by the Red Bull KTM Factory Rider, Pol Espargaro.
Fabio Quartararo, who is ranked 2nd in the provisional standings, had fallen on gravel but managed to return to the racing track. Unfortunately, the Petronas Yamaha SRT Team Rider could not compete at the front, he only finished in 14th place.
Fortunately, the 125 points recorded by the French rider kept him from being displaced from second place in the standings.
Alex Rins himself who finished in 2nd place last weekend also collected 125 points, but he is in third place behind Quartararo.
