Two Italian Serie A legends, Francesco Totti and Carlo Ancelotti support Napoli to advance to the quarter-finals of the European Champions League this season, of course by eliminating Barcelona.
As is known, Genaro Gattuso’s troops will indeed have a second leg match in the last 16 of the European Champions League tomorrow against Barcelona. This match will be held at the headquarters of the Spanish La Liga Giant.
Previously, Napoli could not be said to be in good shape, considering that the first leg meeting at San Paolo a few months ago ended in a 1-1 draw.
In other words, Barcelona only needs to win 0-0 and they will be able to qualify for the last eight of this competition.
However, not a few parties are more supportive of Napoli to progress, one of which is AS Roma legend, Francesco Totti. He believes Gennaro Gattuso’s troops will be able to get rid of Barcelona by winning at the Camp Nou later.
“Can Napoli beat Barca? I hope so and that is what all Italians also hope for,”
“Of course, I came here to energize Insigne. Gattuso? He’s passionate, as always, and he’s doing a great job,” he told Sport.
Support also came from Carlo Ancelotti, the legendary Italian coach who had handled the Partenopei right before Genaro Gattuso’s arrival.
Ancelotti, who contributed to helping Napoli step up to the last 16 last season, is sure that his former team will be able to go further this season.
“I’m a great cashier. I wish Napoli the best. The truth has many faces, but no one cares, not today,” Ancelotti told Corriere dello Sport.
Meanwhile, at the first leg meeting actually no one thought that Napoli could reap the draw. Because on paper Barcelona looks far superior in various aspects.
But in fact, Partenopei actually won first through Dries Mertens. Barcelona can then equalize through Antoine Griezmann.
They could make a surprise again at the meeting at the Camp Nou later.
