Former Persipura Jayapura star, Patrich Wanggai must be able to swallow a bitter pill after being named as a suspect in a case of beatings carried out by him to his opponent. Luckily for him, when the court only issued sanctions, it was obligatory to report it, and that meant he could still breathe fresh air.
Patrich Wanggai is currently the male Central Kalimantan FC player in 2019 Shopee Liga 1. Determination of the suspect status of Patrich Wanggai came out since July 2, namely the case of persecution of a victim named Lalu Dhimas, for the incident on April 11, 2019.
From the results of the autopsy and through several witness statements, Patrich Wanggai attacked the victim at a nightclub in Demangan, Sleman. The determination of the suspect came out through the DIY police to issue an Order of Commencement of Investigation (SPDP).
Apart from that, Patrich Wanggai deserves to be grateful because he is only subject to the obligation to report and that means he can still have a free career in the 2019 Shopee Liga 1.
“The police have issued SPDP, which means there are suspects, in this case PSW (Patrich Steve Wanggai). We did not do detention, it was only subject to the obligation to report,” said the director of the DIY Regional Police Pol. Hadi Utomo at the Yogyakarta Regional Police Headquarters.
Hadi added in his statement that the suspect who happened to be Patrich Wanggai was considered capable of cooperating during the examination, and this was taken into consideration by issuing a decision to report it. The category of abuse against victims carried out by Patrich Wanggai is still relatively mild and that means it can still be free to carry out activities in the outside world.
“He is so cooperative. This detention is not absolute, unless there are certain reasons such as removing evidence, there are fears the suspect will repeat his actions again, “continued Hadi Utomo.
Now, Patrich Wanggai looks very focused in the preparation of the Indonesia Liga 1. With Kalteng Putra, the game is considered sufficient to contribute to both playing at home and away. At present, the pride of the Kalteng Putra stadium is still under renovation, and it is not yet known when it will be completed.
Apart from all that, Patrich Wanggai is still actively playing for his team despite having to shift his focus slightly in the case. After the party against Laskar Isen Mulang entertained PSM Makassar last weekend was postponed, now Patrich Wanggai and Kalteng Putra are preparing to travel to the headquarters of the temporary standings, TR-Kabo which will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019.
