What Inter Milan director talks about Lautaro and Vidal?

Over the last few weeks, Barcelona and Inter Milan have been connected in discussions with European media. Not about their meeting in the European Champions League, but about the possibility of a transfer involving two fans from both camps. They are none other than Arturo Vidal (Barcelona) and Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan).

According to news that has developed so far, Barcelona plans to bring Lautaro Martinez on the next winter transfer in January. They see the Argentine striker as a replacement for Luis Suarez, who has increasingly aged.

While on the one hand, Inter Milan are said to be wanting Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal, who has been playing for Barcelona since last year. The Nerazzurri are currently out of stock in midfield and the Chilean is considered the right solution. Moreover, the former Bayern Munich played for Antonio Conte at Juventus.

A number of reports believe that this transaction will occur. Moreover, Inter Milan and Barcelona did get involved in many deals, such as Ibrahimovic, Eto’o and others. Inter director Giuseppe Marotta was bombarded with questions about the two names before the match between Inter Milan and Barcelona earlier this morning.

He only gave an answer that the club did not intend to sell any player, except the player himself who asked to leave.

“We are Inter and don’t necessarily have to sell anyone. We want to grow with important young players like Lautaro and Romelu Lukaku. At the moment, he is with us and we are happy. If he wants to take a different path, we will evaluate the situation.” Marotta said to Sport Mediaset.

As for Vidal, the former Juventus Director confirmed Inter Milan’s interest in the Chilean player, but he also confirmed that Barcelona were reluctant to lose the 32-year-old figure.

“For Vidal, he is a brilliant player, a fighter in football. Barcelona does not seem to want to let him go, but he also is a name in the list of potential opportunities,” he concluded.

The meeting between Inter Milan and Barcelona earlier this morning ended with a score of 1-2, the Catalan giants’ victory. That way, Inter Milan failed to step into the autumn round of this annual tournament.
